Rabiloo Hackathon 2020: More than a competition

Hackathon is the name of a software competition. This name is a mix of two words "Hack" and "Marathon". "Hack" refers to using the fastest and smartest way to solve a problem. "Marathon" refers to competing for order.

Participating in the contest, teams will bring software solutions according to the contest theme. The preparation stages of ideas, designs... can be prepared in advance. However, the programming part is only done during the limited time of the competition.

At the end of the programming period, teams will present their finished products to the jury. The team with the most groundbreaking and practically useful product will become the winner.

In that spirit, on December 21, 2020, Rabiloo organized the Rabiloo Hackathon with the theme: "Products that solve difficulties and serve the spiritual life of Rabiloo employees".

Not only stopping at a software competition, Rabiloo Hackathon 2020 is also a place to exchange knowledge and an opportunity for Rabiloo members to realize long-cherished ideas. Rabiloo is very happy that the participating members include not only software development engineers but also administrative staff, marketing staff, testers... Rabiloo appreciates the efforts and competitive spirit.

After 33 hours of focused product development and 4 hours of presentations, the participating teams successfully completed their ideas and products.

Today, Rabiloo announced the awards for the best teams as follows:

First prize: "Website Rabiloo Music" Solution

Description: The website channel receives registration to play music and messages from users, used internally by Rabiloo.

Main function: Search songs; automatically play music and messages; automatically ends music playback when break time ends...

Second prize: "Meeting room booking software" Solution

Description: Software that helps internal personnel be granted permission to easily schedule meeting rooms

Main function: Look up meeting schedules; book meeting rooms; and approve applications...

Third prize: "Blog site sharing knowledge about information technology" Solution

Description: The blog is where all Rabiloo members share knowledge and useful information about the field of information technology.

Main function: Member registration; post; review articles; interact with articles; Vote for useful articles...

Idea Award:  "Rabiloo internal document repository" Solution

Description: Software that stores all commonly used documents within Rabiloo. Including OKR documents; company regulations; and sample text...

Main function: Create new archive; post content; Set a password for each account
